Poison is no less poisonous for being produced in your own body

I'll spare you the reality of my messed up stomach. Suffice to say, I am in pain.

Cortisol, that terrible hormone, is swimming in my bloodstream at breakneck speed and in high concentration. It is a poison, and I know it's messing me up.
